BE PART OF HISTORY IN THE MAKING WITH LEGENDS OF DRAG FINE ART COLLECTION

$100 of every fine art purchase will be donated to the GLBT Historical Society to help preserve our community’s proud history in the “Big Queer Bubble” that is San Francisco

In the wake of rising waves of hate, vitriol, idiocy, and attempts across this country to erase us, to make us “lesser thans,” to ban books that cover our struggles, artistry, and history, and to take away our hard-won rights as a proud and growing LGBTQ+ community, we stand together, stronger than ever, and fully woke and ready for the fight of our lives in the months ahead.

Regardless of a lack of representation on Ru Paul’s Drag Race (minus, of course, our Honey Mahogany), San Francisco is known for its abundant, hilarious, and sometimes political drag. Our queens in the Emerald City by the Bay are busy bees who do so much for our community.

You can now celebrate them, and be a part of preserving our history by purchasing one of our fine art prints featuring our San Francisco Legends of Drag, including: Donna SachetJuanita More!GlamamoreHeklinaMutha Chucka, and Sister Roma. $100 from every purchase will be donated directly to the GLBT Historical Society between now and 12/27/23 (Celso’s birthday).

JUANITA MORE'S S.F. PRIDE PARTIES ROCKED OUR WORLDS, BABY!

JUANITA MORE'S S.F. PRIDE PARTIES ROCKED OUR WORLDS, BABY!

Despite the tireless fight to turn back the clock on our hard-won LGBTQ+ rights in this “united” states as we spin towards the mid-2020’s, there ‘ain't no stopping BIG QUEER JOY, BABY~!

One of the biggest events of the summer season, Juanita More!’s San Francisco PRIDE, once again provided not one, but two, fabulous soirees: one during the afternoon at 620 Jones, and the other from the evening into the wee hours of the morning at Halcyon – conveniently located in the “party central” zone of SOMA, across from the SF OASIS and close by to other LGBTQ+ nightclubs and bars including F8, The Foundry, Powerhouse, and the SF EAGLE.

We even have “proof of life” (and BIG QUEER JOY) that we made it from noon until past midnight without dropping out of the Sunday PRIDE “race” right here with Ms More!, Ike, who is Celso’s new best bud, and me and the hubby at the nighttime edition of JM! PRIDE. The images were shot by the inimitable and super-sexy Cabure Bonugli with Shot in the City Photography:

GOLDEN GODS ROSE AT ICSF CORONATION 2023

GOLDEN GODS ROSE AT ICSF CORONATION 2023

My husband Celso and I have long had the pleasure of knowing many Empresses and Emperors of San Francisco – the “mother ship” (Mother Court) of  the International Court System, the world’s oldest LGBTQ+ nonprofit and charity. About eight years ago – “my, how time flies” – we hosted a fundraiser event for the producers of 50 Years of Fabulous, a fantastic documentary about this wonderful 58-year-old organization founded by José Sarria.

In late February, we had a grand old time welcoming out-of-town guests who are members of the Imperial Court System for the unveiling and crowning of the new Empress and Emperor of San Francisco for 2023: our own Cameron Stiehl-Munro and Michael Chua. Cami and Chua are the first two openly bi-sexual Empress and Emperor in the history of the San Francisco Court. Their “Unifying Court of Love and Transformation” will help spotlight the magenta | purple | blue “B” in our LGBTQ+ community, along with all the other colors of the modern-day rainbow flag.
